The crew are currently filming at Blow Up Hall 5050, what has been described as “the strangest place in Poland”! And, whoever said that, really wasn’t exaggerating!
What the guys are about to experience here is an art-hotel where the rooms choose the guests… weird!

Breaking news! The Weird & Wonderful crew are behind bars!
But don’t worry, they’re just visiting Hostel Celica, a converted prison in Slovenia. The production team have had a long drive from Switzerland but hopefully the art-themed hostel was worth the wait.

Our crew have arrived in Switzerland, the land of chocolate, watches and… er… army knives. Here they will stay in the Null Stern (or Zero Star) Hotel.
This hotel offers no swimming pool, no bar, no room service, no television and no en-suite bathroom. Enjoy your stay guys!

Our Weird & Wonderful crew have now made it to France where they are paying the Hotel De Nesle a visit.
This Hotel has 20 rooms, each decorated with a different theme. I hope they’ve remembered to take enough film with them.
Rough Luxe, UK

Even the Rough Luxe Hotel itself isn’t sure what it is. Is it a luxurious flea pit, or a rough-looking high-end hotel. Either way, it’s a great place to stay if you’re looking for something a little more interesting in central London.
Whilst your room might not be the biggest, the décor not the most attractive and you may have to share a bathroom, you’ll notice your expensive bed linen, beautiful art of the walls and the highest quality service around.
This combination of debris and delight is what makes the Rough Luxe so unique and is exactly what its designer, Rabih Hage, wanted to achieve. So why not pay a visit to the nicest nasty hotel you’ll ever find.
The Pavilion, UK

When former fashion model, Danny Karne, became bored with the hotels in which he was staying, he got together with his sister, Noshi, and created his own. Now this hotel is anything but boring!
The Pavilion might be the most exciting hotel in London, and that’s really saying something. Its 30 themed rooms include the 70s styled Honky Tonk Afro, the tartan themed Highland Fling and, of course, Monochrome Marilyn, which combines Marilyn Monroe with metallic colours.
At this seriously chic hotel you’ll be treated like a rock star, and its not surprising, half the people staying there usually are.
Blow Up Hall 5050, Poland

Prepare to be blown away by Poland’s art hotel, Blow Up Hall 5050!
Blow Up Hall is situated in Poznań, one of Poland’s oldest cities, yet is one of the most avant-garde experiments in interactive art ever attempted. Developed from the project of award-winning artist, Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, Blow Up Hall takes its name from Michelangelo Antonioni’s cult 60’s movie. ‘Blow Up’.
At Blow Up Hall, you don’t select your room, you pick a card and the appropriate room will be yours! So, depending on your spirit animal you could get back to nature in a zebra-striped suite, empty your mind in a sterile white room, or retain a modicum of normality in a more traditional space!
Door keys don’t exist here – you are given an iPhone with the technology to open your door, turn on a TV screen and order your “breakfast experience”!
And by the way, you’re filmed during your stay… even after lights out! The footage is chopped up and shown in the main lobby but, don’t worry, your modesty is preserved at all times!
This really is a one-off! So, dispense with convention and become a work of art!

Located in the classy Saint Germaine quarters, the Hotel de Nesle (pronounced ‘Nell’) offers the chance to experience a truly bohemian Paris!
With its 20 themed rooms, you have the chance to enter the world of Molière, the realms of Orientism or even envelop yourself in Ancient Egypt.
Set within its own country garden, the Hotel de Nesle combines the past with the present and the rural with the urban. Magnifique!

Behold the world of Sri Lanka’s Helga’s Folly. As unconventional as it is memorable, it was the inspiration behind the Stereophonics’ hit, ‘Madame Helga’.
Suitable for single travellers, couples or families, the quirky décor and four-poster beds provide an interesting base for exploring the surrounding Buddhist temples and ancient cities.
As fascinating as Madame Helga herself, and situated in the breath-taking city of Kandy, this is one destination to which you’re sure to return again and again.

Calling all dog-lovers! You’ve just got to check this out… At Cottonwood, Idaho, they’ve got the world’s biggest dog and, what’s more, you can stay inside it!
Say hello to Sweet Willy and his 12-feet tall puppy friend, Toby. Both are the work of Dog Bark Park sculptors, Dennis Sullivan and Frances Conklin.
Sweet Willy offers comfortable accommodation for four people. As well as a queen-sized bed and two single futons, there are all the home comforts you would expect. What you won’t find, however, is a television or a phone. These have been replaced with an impressive selection of books, games and puzzles! Things that put the ‘family’ into family holiday.
And, naturally, your dog is welcome too! Just make sure that he is well behaved and that you bring a healthy supply of poop-scoop bags!
Don’t leave without visiting Frances and Dennis’s Chainsaw Kennels and Gift Shop, to take home a doggy reminder of your “Stay!”
