Another fascinating site at New Zealand’s Woodlyn Park is its specially converted plane, that’s right an actual plane!

This 1950’s Bristol Freighter Plane was one of the last allied planes out of Vietnam and is now a two-unit motel. Guests can choose either the plane’s tail section or as a special treat, you can sleep in the plane’s cockpit.

Don’t be worried if you’ve got a fear of flying, this plane is safely stuck to the ground.

Woodlyn Park doesn’t just offer amazing motels.  There’s a whole host of adventures to be had during your stay.

Billy Black is a professional sheep shearer who puts on an unforgettable show for Woodlyn Park guests. Including a Kiwi bear, a dancing log and exploding pigs – sorry, a dancing pig and exploding logs – you won’t want to miss out on Billy Black’s Kiwi Culture Show!

And, if you still have energy left, why not visit the nearby Waitomo Caves, an amazing cave system with stalactites, stalagmites and even glowworms!

Along with the opportunity to try blackwater rafting and take in the breathtaking views for which New Zealand is famous, we really don’t think one could ask for more!
